Meghan Markle has her own unique way of treating fans, and body language experts have praised the Duchess of Sussex for her impressive people skills over the years.
The former actress Meghan Markle has been praised by experts for being a ‘charismatic and talented keynote speaker’. But it is not just her showbiz career that has helped her develop charming people skills. A royal expert reveals another source of inspiration helped Meghan become her most elegant and graceful self.

Meghan Markle’s odd jobs before fame
Meghan may have a loyal fan club, but she has done her fair share of odd jobs before fame. These included calligraphy and bookbinding before making it big in the Hollywood industry, but one job in particular helped her the most. The 42-year-old Suits star worked at a yogurt shop when she was just thirteen for $4 an hour.
The TV star had a natural flair with the customer, as royal author Andrew Morton reveals in his book Meghan: A Hollywood Princess. He explains Meghan was “popular with the customers,” and it came natural for her.
Owner of the shop, Paula Sheftel, also attested to Meghan’s popularity. She said: “[Meghan] had to prove she had an outgoing personality and would work well with staff. A lot of the kids can’t handle the pressure. It takes a special personality for somebody that young to deal with it. Meghan had that early on.”
Meghan meets her Baywatch idol
Like many kids of the 90s, Meghan was also a fan of the show Baywatch. Morton reveals actress Yasmine Bleeth taught Meghan a valuable lesson that she still uses today.
She saw the celebrity outside the shop one day and couldn’t resist building up the nerve to say hi. As per the book, Meghan approached the actress cautiously and ended up sharing how she is a fan girl of the actress.
“Meghan approached the star and blurted out, ‘I loved you in that Soft & Dri commercial.’ Bleeth smiled, asked Meghan her name, and shook her hand. Later Meghan would say, “That moment with Yasmine is exactly what I base every interaction with fans on,” Morton writes.

Body language expert praises Meghan’s charisma
Meghan’s long career in showbiz and her delightful persona have made her one of the most charismatic speakers among the royal family. As body language expert Judi James shared: “Meghan is a charismatic and talented keynote speaker who had honed her skills well before she met Harry and adopted a royal title.”
Praising her speech style, James added: “It’s easy to assume she draws from her skills as an actress, but in my experience very few actors make great presenters.”
She’s been able to use her skills in her everyday life. Whether that be at a charity event, or talking with people she meets on the street.
