Ivanka Trump Punk Phase Memes

August 2024 · 1 minute read

In an excerpt from her mother Ivana Trump's new memoir, Ivanka Trump claims that she, like many other young Americans in the '90s, had a punk phase in her teens years.

"During my punk phase in the nineties, I was really into Nirvana. My wardrobe consisted of ripped corduroy jeans and flannel shirts. One day after school, I dyed my hair blue," she writes in a chapter of the book, Raising Trump, shared by The Cut.

Later, she added that she reacted to Kurt Cobain's death with "twenty-four hours [of] crying inconsolably in my room, alone—major melodrama."

However, the internet wasn't buying it. After the First Daughter's anecdotes of her "edgy" teen years surfaced online, Twitter users responded in the best way.
